Job Purpose

Job Purpose:


The Entertainment Intern is responsible for assisting the Entertainment Marketing team with various projects including:

  • Special event(s)
  • Meeting planning and execution
  • Create, track and maintain celebrity database
  • Assist with preparation and presentation creation
  • Help arrange travel for celebrities/VIP guests
  • Providing administrative support for board reports, newsletter content and other research, in addition to answering phones and day-to-day office maintenance.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Works with Entertainment Marketing team to handle daily functions of meeting scheduling, correspondences, reports, and travel for the department.
  • Uses writing and computer knowledge to compose, type and visually proofread letters, reports, forms, memos, and other documents as assigned by the Entertainment Marketing team. Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software.
  • Works with the entire Entertainment Marketing team to plan, organize and execute meetings and events and assists with making travel arrangements for VIP and celebrity guests. Helps with creation and executiion of talent invites and itineraries.
  • Answers phones and handles various requests and inquiries from internal and external supporters and staff via phone calls and emails.
  • Works with the Entertainment Marketing team to create presentations and proposals. This may include creating presentations for meetings with potential corporate sponsors, talent or event partners, creating and maintaining spreadsheet reports. May also require attending events (as needed) to provide support with talent participation.
  • Support key enterprise initiatives (e.g. T & G and CCAM) and other programs such as Country Cares and Music Gives. Involves working within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate controls.


  • Requires a degree of judgement; ability to speak and write clearly and concisely for communication with internal and external relationships
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university, as a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student (in good standing) and have a major in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or other related area
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
