Job Purpose

Department Overview

ALSAC hosts thousands of fundraising events across the country every year. We’re tasked with making it a memorable and fun experience for the hundreds of thousands of donors and supporters who attend. It may be high energy and fast paced, but it’s also pretty fun! We have more than 30 regional offices across the U.S. and in Puerto Rico.

 

Internship Overview

As an intern in Field Operations you will learn more about creating events and partnerships to help drive the St. Jude mission that no child should die in the dawn of life. 

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with event planning and logistics for local and national events St. Jude Up Til Dawn, Dream Home, and radiothons.
  • Attending meetings, conference calls, committee meetings, and local events.
  • Creating prospect lists and delivering them to the Field Operations staff as requested.
  • Assisting with the cultivation of sponsorships.
  • Writing letters or marketing material and corresponding via email and phone with co-workers, potential donors and/or sponsors.
  • Creating process flows and job aids for training of Field Operations staff.
  • Conveying the St. Jude mission across various social media platfor

Requirements

  • Requires a degree of judgement; ability to speak and write clearly and concisely for communication with internal and external relationships
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university, as a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student (in good standing) and have a major in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or other related area
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
