Job Purpose

Responsible for providing support through an internship to ALSAC's Chief Executive Officer and Executive Office area by assisting in special project assignments, writing, researching and other fundraising and marketing support.


  1. Uses a high degree of concentration to provide assistance to the Chief Executive Officer on planning, coordinating and executing special projects. Performs essential job functions in an established environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances.
  2. Uses research capabilities to provide assistance on general market, industry and economic research for executive-level assignments. Uses knowledge and writing skills to analyze and synthesize information. Requires use of a personal computer.
  3. Uses high degree of concentration and knowledge to assist with writing for executive and internal communications assignments, including letters, newsletters, presentations, speeches and reports. Performs essential job functions in an established environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances.
  4. Under the direction of the CEO, participates in fundraising and marketing divisional activities; acquiring departmental fundraising, program and/or services knowledge, methodologies and resources.
  5. Participates in enrichment events that focus on specific aspects of fundraising and marketing, including group meetings, organizational tours, innovation sessions, lunch and learns and other employee events.
  6. Assists with various events that provide opportunities to maximize personal and professional effectiveness including time management, business writing and effective presentation skills.
  7. Answer telephones and assists with other office support as needed.
  8. Performs other various job functions as may be assigned.
  9. Performs job duties as assigned as part of ALSACs Business Continuity Management Program, including annual maintenance and testing of business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response plans
