Job Purpose

The Security Manager will assist in the development of policies and processors to improve security and mitigate risk for ALSAC security operations. Will manage a team to implement security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and make sure that the environment in ALSAC is safe for employers and visitors. The Security Manager is to conduct security/safety risk assessments for events, and prepare security/ emergency operations plans for events, and hire contract security guard services, and delegate tasks and duties to them. Acts as security advisor to remote offices on major regional events and makes recommendations. Assist in the preparation of ALSAC security budget, working with St. Jude Security and ALSAC senior leadership, and ensures Security Department remains within budget. Works with St. Jude Security, ALSAC Business Continuity, ALSAC Safety, ALSAC Human Resources and ALSAC Compliance to assist departments in developing security awareness training curriculum for all ALSAC employees to ensure employees are trained and that a safe environment is maintained and all regulatory requirements are met.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business Management or related field required.
  • Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible security and operational management experience required.
  • High quality analytical and effective managerial relational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Ability to understand and make recommendations on security systems and processes.
  • Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak publicly to senior leadership and to train others.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment.
