Job Purpose

Collaborates on the creation of interaction design and content for web properties on both desktop and mobile devices as well as leads the effort to create and implement a consistent and accessible approach to organizing, indexing, labeling and navigating multiple interrelated web-based properties. The IA also works with stakeholders from our brand strategy, interactive product and content teams to develop information architecture documentation such as site maps, user flows, navigation prototypes and labeling taxonomies, as well as plans and facilitates user testing and user research including data analysis from our customer relationship management and web analytics tools.

Requirements

  • Gains a deep understanding of user motivations, business objectives, market opportunities and competition
  • Performs essential job functions in various environments under various climate control tolerances
  • Leads and socializes our efforts to create a user-centered design process that is based on research, analytics and usability testing
  • Requires use of a personal computer
  • Works with product managers and engineers to create a vision for a cross-platform experience that provides the best contextual experience to our donors
  • Partners with designers and content strategists to create wireframes, process maps, navigational prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience and validates design solutions as needed
  • Provides an enterprise-level view of our digital properties and makes recommendations to ensure consistency for interaction design and user experience across multiple platforms
  • Collaborates across teams to rapidly incorporate user feedback, technical constraints, and market dynamics into iGroup deliverables
  • Leads group reviews and design workshops with external agencies as well as internal team members and business partners
  • Consults with our design, engineering and quality assurance teams to establish a baseline for designing, building and measuring our web properties to ensure they are accessible and Section 508 compliant
  • Performs other various job functions as may be assigned
  • Performs job duties as assigned as part of ALSACs Business Continuity Management Program, including annual maintenance and testing of business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response plans
