Job Purpose

Responsible for strategically developing and driving creative strategies for ALSAC’s fundraising efforts. Reviews and drives creative concepts and materials to ensure brand consistency and alignment with approved strategy. Requires conceptualizing creative solutions at a high level to be executed across various mediums. Assists the Creative Director with global brand and creative initiatives as assigned, including the development and implementation of brand and campaign standards documents. Manages the creative process and presentations to business units. Uses extensive experience to identify and implement solutions to creative challenges, introduce or leverage best industry practices. Helps to foster a creative and collaborative atmosphere among teams. Responsible for the daily creative operations of assigned teams – ensuring accuracy, timeliness and creative excellence in all assigned projects. Works with Creative Director to meet the organization’s needs in developing successful creative solutions to integrated fundraising and awareness campaigns.

Requirements

  • Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of current technology and trends in design, video and creative copy. Hands-on experience conceptualizing multi-media creative campaigns
  • Experience guiding creative production and elements within multiple integrated marketing and communications campaigns on behalf of major non-profits or corporations
  • Demonstrates understanding of hierarchy, typography, aesthetics, composition and construction of meaningful images
  • Able to solve communication problems
  • Experience in directing, writing and editing compelling copy
  • Exceptional portfolio, demonstrating high-level knowledge of conceptual creative across multiple mediums and examples of managing the creative process
  • Able to mobilize and lead a team, moving projects forward through multiple levels in the organization
  • Strong presentation skills, tactful negotiation and the ability to work confidently and successfully within multiple levels internally and externally
  • Highly organized
  • Able to perform job in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
  • Maintains and inspires a sense of urgency and accountability in response to assignments
  • Sets priorities to meet deadlines
  • Understanding and skill in current creative software and technology applications, specifically Adobe Creative Suite and others as assigned
  • Skilled in presentation software including Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote
  • Competent in the use of the Mac operating system and Microsoft Office applications. Communicates professionally, clearly and effectively both in writing and in person
  • Able to manage conflict in a calm and professional manner
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry best practices and trends
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, Copywriting, Creative, Advertising or related field with at least 10 years of progressive relevant experience as a creative leader or director within an agency, non-profit or corporate environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a creative department or agency
