Job Purpose

Communicates the St. Jude story through the creative development, technical production and timely execution of design solutions for use in multiple platforms in support of organization-wide initiatives. Serves as a functional production designer for ALSAC design projects including marketing collateral, advertising, presentations and publications. Manages complex projects and sophisticated technical design requirements. Works closely with creative and production leads, production liaisions and operations teams to ensure overall consistency, accuracy and timeliness of materials. Handles rush design requests as needed. Serves as design and production subject matter expert on initiatives that drive brand awareness and bring in more than $100 million in revenue.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to develop compelling and effective designs that meet assigned objectives while handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding and skill in current design software and technology applications, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and others as assigned
  • Skilled in presentation software including Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote
  • Competent in the use of the Mac operating system and Microsoft Office applications
  • Communicates professionally, clearly and effectively both in writing and in person
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized
  • Able to perform job in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
  • Maintains a sense of urgency and accountability in response to assignments
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry best practices and trends
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Production Art, Graphic Design, Advertising or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
