Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and associated operating systems. Responsible for applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. 


  • Proven experience with software systems, applications, and related products in a Microsoft environment
  • Proven experience with security principles and general systems management best practices
  • Experience with core data center systems including MS Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, Active Directory and VMware
  • Excellent software troubleshooting experience
  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows XP and Vista
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Working knowledge of networks including LANs, WANs and SANs
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related degree) and 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Microsoft MCSA on Windows Server 2000/2003 is preferred Microsoft MCSA on Windows Server Messaging/Security is preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
