Job Purpose

Responsible for the development and implementation of meaningful cultivation and stewardship strategies to enhance the philanthropy of active St. Jude donors in key revenue programs.  Includes management of a multi-donor portfolio, with responsibility for the establishment of individual stewardship communications, strategic personal cultivation, and the maintenance of key, high-level donor relationships in pursuit of revenue.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external  relations to understand complex verbal or written instructions.
  • Understand data processing applications.
  • Ability to relate to donors and individuals.
  • Negotiating and listening skills.
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of fundraising, customer service or related experience. 
  • Good writing and telephone skills essential. 
  • Must be willing to be trained in the basics of planned giving and achieve the ability to communicate with donors on a conversational level.
  • Requires a customer oriented individual, as well as detail oriented individual, with excellent organizational skills.   
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
