Job Purpose

Working closely with Executive Communications leadership, responsible for managing development of high quality internal and corporate communications for ALSAC to inform, engage and motivate employees to help meet organizational goals.  Helps set strategic direction of corporate communications. Using a strategic approach and leadership skills, ensures the Corporate Communications team creates and executes dynamic internal communications content through appropriate channels to maximize engagement and awareness and evaluates effectiveness.  Responsible for managing team members, driving results and ensuring timely development and execution of communications to internal audiences.


  • Requires thorough knowledge of communications and journalism; speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations; understand complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and C—level executives; understand applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Thorough knowledge of English spelling, grammar and usage; excellent speech writing, news/feature writing and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledgeable with AP style of writing; photographic knowledge, including how to recognize a powerful photo; ability to conduct interviews.
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field and 5-8 years of related experience in communications, journalism, or public relations field.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
