Job Purpose

Responsible for providing brand strategy support and guidance for ALSAC’s high-visibility marketing and fundraising efforts. Participates at a high level in the development of brand strategies and creation of integrated, multi-channel marketing plans and campaigns, which promote St. Jude’s brand awareness and support fundraising efforts. Works closely with the brand and marketing strategy management team to ensure all strategies and tactics are aligned with the organization’s Strategic Plan and brand platform.  Works seamlessly with marketing operation project managers. Leads strategy development of projects as delegated by the VP, Sr. Director or Director of Brand Marketing. Requires excellent attention to detail, experience in strategy development, and ability to work cross-functionally within a high performance work environment to ultimately be successful.

Requirements

  • Must be able to develop strategies designed to influence key marketing metrics and drive fundraising revenue
  • Must be able to problem solve
  • Requires thorough knowledge of marketing best practices in support of ensuring brand integrity
  • Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations
  • Understand extremely complex verbal or written instructions
  • Thorough grasp of rhetorical tools used in marketing communications
  • Thorough knowledge of English spelling, grammar and usage
  • Understanding of basic research methodologies
  • Knowledgeable in emerging marketing platforms and channels
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Detailed knowledge of all mediums of communications and tools used in those mediums to include understanding of the research, creation, production and distribution of end products
  • General knowledge of communications and copyright law
  • General knowledge of purchasing and inventory control
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through bachelor's degree and at least 5-7 years experience in Marketing or Communications involving budgeting, strategic planning, organizational development and cost control
  • Possess excellent diplomatic skills and positive attitude, requires valid driver's license.
