Job Purpose

Responsible for maximizing the impact of work done by our Enterprise Content Team on all platforms, in all mediums, to increase St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital brand awareness and fundraising. Reports to the Executive Director, Content Strategy but works closely with the Senior Advisor, Senior Liaison and Lead Writer of Enterprise Content to optimize enterprise content for maximum impact through cutting edge, creative presentation in alignment with a soon-to-be-launched Enterprise Content Strategy and the organization’s broader strategic plan. Duties range from video and audio editing/producing to writing code for an interactive infographic. The desired outcome from this work is world class storytelling that grows diverse new audiences, builds engagement, and continues elevation of the organizational brand to iconic status in support of growth in donor acquisition, cultivation and stewardship processes.

Requirements

  • Requires thorough knowledge of graphic design, web development, audio and video production and editing motion graphics and photography
  • Speaks and writes in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations
  • Understands complex verbal or written instructions
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight time constraints
  • Thorough grasp of strategies and tools used in public relations and marketing communications
  • Thorough knowledge of English spelling, grammar and usage
  • AP style and editing knowledge
  • Detailed knowledge of all mediums of communications and tools used in those mediums
  • Uses knowledge of industry trends, including digital tools, to enhance communications efforts
  • Understanding and experience developing national campaigns and programs with measurable results
  • General knowledge of communications and copyright law
  • Bachelor's degree required and at least five years of experience in graphic design
  • Possess excellent diplomatic and negotiations skills
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
