Job Purpose

Develops project plan, directs the project planning process, and serves as committee manager to execute large scale complex enterprise wide events. Responsible for working closely with the Executive Office, Event Marketing and multiple supporting divisions and stakeholders to ensure projects meet the ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital brand standards, strategic initiatives and fundraising goals while ensuring events are completed on time, within budget and scope.


  • Requires general knowledge of computers
  • Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner of internal/external relations
  • Understands complex verbal and written instructions
  • Must be well organized and systematic in work processes, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with groups and in the conduct of meetings
  • Proven understanding of the Project Lifecycle
  • Competent in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Outlook and other tools that would be used for communication/documentation purposes
  • Proven management of complex system implementations
  • Knowledge of MS Project with in depth use experience
  • Must demonstrate sustained high performance and strategic thinking with leadership skills and ability to work well individually and within a team environment
  • Delegating and sharing decision-making with teammates as appropriate
  • Proven ability to lead projects
  • Manage multiple enterprise projects simultaneously and communicates with project stakeholders through verbal, written and face-to-face communication
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelors degree and 5 years experience combining technical, analytical and functional experience including project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
