Job Purpose

Responsible for the operational-level management of the team of Project Managers accountable for the execution of strategic technology initiatives identified by the IT Governance committee. Works with the department’s PMO Director to establish, implement and communicate a standardized project management methodology based on industry-proven processes and support tools. Ensures Project Manager and Business Sponsor compliance with the PMO methodology and IT Governance policies. 

Requirements

  • Requires the coordination of cross-functional staff (e.g.- multi-application development, ERP, CRM implementation, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in MS Project required (Enterprise Project Server preferred)
  • Sophisticated analytical skills are required.
  • Must be able to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations
  • Understands complex verbal or written instructions
  • Possess effective leadership, organization and planning skills
  • Possess a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel and ability to handle sensitive issues
  • Requires strong diversity and team building skills
  • Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) with 8 or more years experience combining technical, analytical, and functional experience including experience in project design, project scheduling, with 5 or more years managing large-scale IT projects
  • Experience with non-profits is preferred
  • PMP certification is preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
